Leaked iPhone 15 Pro renders suggest replacement of a beloved color with ‘Titan Gray’

Phones Canada Reports: The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra are expected to feature a titanium frame, a departure from the traditional stainless steel construction. To complement this change, Apple will introduce a new range of colors, with a fresh gray hue taking the place of the popular gold option. According to 9to5Mac, the shade will likely be marketed as “Titan Gray” and will sit between silver/white and space black/graphite on the color spectrum. Renderings created by 9to5Mac provide a glimpse of the anticipated shade.

Aside from the color update, the renderings do not reveal any new information, aligning with previous rumors and hints from dummy units. The iPhone 15 Pro is expected to feature slim bezels that curve at the edges, a rounded back panel, and a programable button replacing the mute switch. As for the color options, the iPhone 14 Pro’s Deep Purple variant will be replaced by a dark blue alternative in the iPhone 15 lineup.

Reports suggest that Apple will unveil the iPhone 15 series on September 12, with the official event date expected to be announced by the end of this month or in early September. Initially, it was planned for the phones to go on sale on September 22, but there might be limited availability or a slight delay for the Ultra model. The regular models are rumored to include the A16 chip from the iPhone 14 Pro, a 48MP main camera, and Dynamic Island technology. Additionally, all models are expected to feature USB-C ports. While the iPhone 15 series may be priced higher than current models, carriers are anticipated to offer aggressive deals to incentivize customer upgrades.
