According to information shared by tipster Nithin Prasad on X (via Android Headlines), the upcoming iPhone SE 4 is expected to bring significant upgrades in terms of display specifications, performance, charging, and design.
Prasad suggests that the iPhone SE 4 will feature a 6.1-inch LTPS OLED display, similar to the one used in the iPhone 14. Although it will support a 60Hz refresh rate, which may not be the highest available, it still promises a smooth user experience. The 6.1-inch display is a substantial improvement compared to the 4.7-inch display found on the iPhone SE 3.
Furthermore, the design of the iPhone SE 4 is rumored to resemble that of the iPhone XR, boasting a nearly bezel-less display. The source also indicates that the iPhone SE 4 will support Face ID and offer improved cameras. Considering the iPhone SE 3 only had a single 12MP wide camera on the back, an upgraded camera with the new model wouldn’t be surprising.
In terms of chipset, the tipster claims that the iPhone SE 4 will be powered by Apple’s A15 chip, identical to the one used in the iPhone SE 3, the iPhone 13 series, as well as the upcoming iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. This chip performs admirably and should remain relevant for a few more years. It outperforms the mid-range Snapdragon 6xx and MediaTek processors typically found in Android phones within this price range.
With the iPhone 15 series, Apple transitioned from the Lightning port to USB-C. Therefore, it is highly likely that the iPhone SE 4 will feature a USB-C charging port, as suggested by Prasad. According to the tipster’s post, the battery of the iPhone SE 4 may have a capacity of 3,200mAh.
