New Test Shows Galaxy S24 Plus Outperforming Galaxy S24 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Samsung’s latest smartphone, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus variants are mostly powered by Exynos 2400, with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips expected to bring superior performance. However, the Galaxy S24 Ultra being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 doesn’t guarantee better performance. The Exynos 2400 could be a better choice for users.

According to 3DMark Solar Bay Stress Test results shared by Quadrans Muralis on Korean website dcinside, the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Exynos Galaxy S24’s were compared. The test is a ray tracing benchmark for GPUs and simulates scenarios where heating and stability need to be tested. The Galaxy S24 Ultra and S24 Plus performed similarly in stability.

The Exynos 2400-fueled Galaxy S24 Plus performed better overall, with higher maximum and minimum scores in the stability test, indicating a better performance in gaming over extended periods.

Additionally, user @GaryeonHan previously suggested that the Exynos 2400 can handle the demanding game Genshin Impact better than the iPhone 15 Pro. However, it was later mentioned that the texture resolution was set to low, indicating that the game was not fully optimized for the Galaxy S24.

In conclusion, the Galaxy S24 series, powered by Exynos 2400, shows great potential for gaming and performance. The Exynos 2400’s performance in gaming and the overall experience could make the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus some of the best gaming phones in 2024.
