Following the announcement of upgraded iPhones, smartwatches, and earbuds, the iPad release front has been silent lately, leaving Apple fans wondering if there are any new devices left to unveil this year. While rumors surround the upgraded iPad Pros for 2024, details about the next-gen iPad, iPad Air, and iPad mini remain a mystery. However, a recent report suggests that a new small-size iPad could be expected in the fourth quarter of 2023.
This unnamed iPad is highly speculated to be the iPad mini 7 based on the latest supply chain rumors. Although it’s unlikely that Apple will use that branding, the previous “New iPad mini” naming convention could be followed. This new device will succeed the sixth-gen iPad mini released in 2021, featuring a larger screen, thinner bezels, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C port.
While the exact details of the seventh-generation iPad mini are unknown, it is expected to have a similar design to the 2021 edition while boasting a newer and faster processor, potentially the Apple A15.
As of now, there is limited information available about the iPad mini (2023). It remains to be seen if this rumored release will help rejuvenate the tablet market during the holiday season.
