Samsung has recently registered the names Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 for its upcoming foldable devices in 2024 and 2025 respectively. This shows Samsung’s commitment and future plans for the foldable phone market. The popularity of foldable devices is increasing globally as other companies such as Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo are also releasing their own versions of book-style and clamshell foldables every year. In the near future, we can expect Samsung to register the names Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 for its clamshell flip phones in 2025 and 2026 respectively. While some may argue that the foldable phone market will only be validated once Apple releases a foldable iPhone, Apple does not currently seem to be prioritizing the development of a foldable handset or foldable iPad.
