Viber introduces new business tools, available for free to users

Phones Canada – Viber Introduces Free Business Tools for Small and Micro Businesses

Viber, following in the footsteps of WhatsApp, has announced a new set of business tools that aim to make its app a comprehensive communication hub for a wide range of businesses. This offering includes various features that will be available for free to small and micro businesses.

The new features introduced by Viber are inspired by the successful Viber Business Accounts for enterprise-level businesses. Here are the key features of the free offering:

1. Public business profiles: Businesses can create a public and searchable business page that showcases all essential information. This profile can be shared with both Viber users and non-users.

2. 1:1 customer chats: Businesses can instantly respond to customer requests through instant messaging.

3. Discoverability through Viber search: Businesses can attract and retain loyal customers by appearing in Viber’s search results. Customers can find local products and services by searching for business names or categories.

4. Dedicated chat folders: Businesses can conveniently store customer messages separately from personal messages with friends and family. Additionally, users will have easy access to a separate Business Inbox folder for storing conversations with businesses.

5. Product catalog: Business owners can effortlessly add new products or services to their business page’s catalog. Customers can explore and inquire about these items by sharing the product link directly in the chat.

Viber plans to introduce more services aimed at medium-to-large business accounts in the future. However, it is unclear whether these services will also be free.

Currently, Viber’s self-serve business accounts are available in Greece and the Philippines. However, the company has plans to launch them in more countries soon.

In addition to the existing features, Viber has promised to add more useful functionalities like broadcast messages, voice calls, and quick automatic replies specifically for small businesses. Viber also intends to offer tailored pricing plans based on market feedback to expand the initial set of free self-serve business features.

Stay tuned to Phones Canada for more updates on Viber’s business tools and their availability in your region.
