Xiaomi, the renowned Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has been making its mark in various segments of the smartphone market. However, one area where Xiaomi has yet to delve into is the flip-style foldable market.
Recent reports suggest that Xiaomi is working on a rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip. An IMEI database in China has revealed the name of the phone, which is expected to be called the “Mix Flip.” This discovery confirms that Xiaomi’s venture into the flip-style foldable market is indeed happening.
Earlier, GSMChina published a render of the Mix Flip based on leaked information from a factory source. The render showcases both the front and back sides of Xiaomi’s Mix Flip, revealing a triple camera setup and a hole-punch front-facing camera.
Rumors surrounding the Mix Flip indicate that it will feature a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Additionally, the phone is expected to house the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a substantial amount of memory.
The Mix Flip is anticipated to be unveiled alongside Xiaomi’s 14 series, set to launch in China between December 2023 and January 2024. However, it’s worth noting that Xiaomi has yet to release any of its foldable smartphones outside of China, so the likelihood of the Mix Flip breaking this pattern seems slim.
As fans eagerly await Xiaomi’s entry into the flip-style foldable market, the Mix Flip stands as a promising contender that could rival the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip. Stay tuned for further updates on Xiaomi’s latest innovation.
