Design changes underway for leaked high quality renders of Google Pixel 8a

Phones Canada Team Exclusive: Leaked Renders and Specs of Google Pixel 8a

Just days after the official launch of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, we have obtained exclusive leaked high-quality renders and hands-on information about the upcoming Pixel 8a. These leaks come from the reliable sources OnLeaks/X and Smartprix, who have a track record of accurate reporting on Google phone leaks. In fact, they revealed details about the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro months before their launch.

Today, we are sharing new 5K quality renders, a 360-degree video, and key specifications of the Google Pixel 8a. These renders provide insight into the design language that Google is adopting for their smartphones. It aligns with a leaked hands-on image of the Pixel 8a that surfaced last month.

Summary of Alleged Pixel 8a Specs:
– Dimensions: 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9mm (Pixel 7a dimensions: 152.4 x 72.9 x 9.0mm)
– Display (diagonal): 6.1″
– CPU: Tensor G3 with Mali-G715 GPU
– RAM: 8GB
– OS: Android 14
– Codename: Akita

What’s Different This Time Around?
Based on the leaked renders and specs, the Google Pixel 8a is expected to have a sleeker, more modern design compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 7a. The most noticeable change is the redesigned body with rounded corners, departing from the boxy shape of the Pixel 7a. Additionally, the Pixel 8a is slightly smaller, narrower, and slimmer.

On the rear panel, the Pixel 8a features a camera visor housing two camera sensors. The front of the phone showcases a 6.1-inch flat screen with a centrally located hole-punch camera cutout. The bezels are relatively thin on the sides, with a small chin at the bottom.

The display also appears to have a 2.5D curved glass, giving the phone a more premium look and feel. The USB Type-C port and stereo speakers are placed on the bottom edge, while the top edge houses an ultra-wideband antenna and earpiece. On the right edge, you can find the power button and volume rocker, while the Google logo is located on the back. The SIM tray is located on the left edge, and cellular antenna bands are visible on the top, left, and right sides of the phone.

Looking Ahead:
Considering the rapid rate at which information on Pixel devices leaks, we anticipate further leaks regarding the Pixel 8a in the near future. Historically, Google has released their “A” line of devices in May. With the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro already on sale, it is likely that the company’s focus is already shifting towards the mid-range market.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Google Pixel 8a!
