Apple’s Trade-In Mishap: Incorrect Cancellation Emails Cause Confusion for Customers

Some iPhone users who traded in their old devices for a new model are receiving emails from Apple stating that their trade-ins have been cancelled, even though the trade-ins were processed months ago. This has caused confusion and concern among customers, as they have proof that the trade-ins were completed.

One such customer, Quinn, shared his experience on Twitter after receiving an email claiming that Apple never received his iPhone. However, Quinn provided evidence of the completed trade-in transaction and expressed his confusion over the situation. Many other customers who traded in their iPhones towards the purchase of a new iPhone 15 series model have also reported receiving similar emails.

It seems that Apple may have encountered a glitch in their system, leading to these erroneous emails being sent out to customers who completed their trade-ins months ago. Customers are advised to keep proof of their trade-in transactions in case they receive one of these emails from Apple.

We anticipate that Apple will address this issue and provide clarification soon. In the meantime, affected customers should reach out to Apple support for assistance and ensure that they retain documentation of their trade-in transactions.
