Breaking News: Samsung Adjusts Update Schedule for Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy S20 FE – Find out the Latest Updates!

Samsung recently made changes to its security update schedule for several of its popular smartphone models, including the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Fold 2, and Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Initially, these devices were set to receive quarterly security updates instead of monthly patches. However, it seems like Samsung had a change of heart and decided to return some models to the monthly update cycle.

The Galaxy Note 20 5G, Galaxy Note Ultra 5G (and non-5G variants), and the Galaxy S20 FE 5G (and non-5G variant) have been reinstated in the “Current Models for Monthly Security Updates” section on Samsung’s Mobile Security page. This move may have been influenced by the fact that these models were launched later in 2020 compared to the Galaxy S20 series, which debuted earlier in the year.

Samsung had originally promised four years of monthly security updates for these devices. By keeping them on the monthly update schedule for now, Samsung ensures that they will receive the full four years of support as initially advertised. Once this commitment is fulfilled, Samsung may switch back to quarterly security updates for these models.

It’s reassuring to see Samsung prioritizing the security and longevity of its devices by providing regular updates to keep them safe from potential threats. Stay tuned for more updates on Samsung’s mobile security initiatives and how they continue to support their users with reliable and timely software updates.
