Exclusive $33/20GB Plan for Canada-US • Discover More with iPhone in Canada Blog

The digital-only subsidiary of Videotron, Fizz, has recently made waves by reducing its pricing to levels that major telecom companies have yet to match. This move is part of Fizz’s expansion into Manitoba, with the launch in Winnipeg earlier this week. The beta pricing is heavily discounted but is only available for a limited six-month period.

Here’s a glimpse of the updated beta pricing for Fizz in Winnipeg, showcasing the significant reductions from their regular prices:

– $5.50/month for unlimited calls/texts (regular price: $22)
– $6.00/4GB (regular price: $24)
– $7.25/20GB (regular price: $29)
– $9.00/30GB (regular price: $36)
– $11.25/50GB (regular price: $45)
– $12.50/60GB (regular price: $50)

It’s worth noting that the 30GB, 35GB, and 45GB options have been eliminated from Fizz’s offerings in Winnipeg.

Additionally, Fizz offers a competitive plan at just $33/month for 20GB of data usable in both Canada and the US. This plan is unmatched by any of the ‘Big 3’ telecom brands. The only close competitor is Freedom Mobile (also owned by Videotron) with its $34/50GB Canada-US plan with 5G data and its $29/20GB 4G Canada-US plan.

While Fizz supports rollover data, it does not currently offer eSIM support, Wi-Fi Calling, or voicemail with name display.

Overall, Fizz’s latest pricing adjustments are sure to shake up the telecommunications market and provide consumers with more affordable options for their mobile needs. Stay tuned for more updates as Fizz continues to innovate and expand its services across Canada!
