Rumor: Vivo X100 Pro Plus to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 10x optical and 200x digital zoom

The Vivo X100 Pro Plus is currently in the prototype testing phase and features a 4.3X optical zoom with a 100mm focal length. It is expected to have a 2K resolution display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The under-display fingerprint sensor will use ultrasonic technology for faster and more accurate biometric authentication.

The rear-facing camera will have a 50MP primary camera with Sony’s LYT-900 “one-inch type” sensor. The Vivo X100 Pro Plus has not been officially introduced yet, unlike the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, which are powered by the Dimensity 9300 application processor from MediaTek. There have been some concerns about the Dimensity 9300 experiencing thermal issues due to the lack of low-power Efficiency CPU cores, but this should not be an issue for the Vivo X100 Pro Plus, which is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The base model of the Vivo X100 Pro Plus is reported to feature 12GB of RAM and 512GB of native storage.

Vivo, owned by China’s BBK Electronics, is positioning the X100 Pro Plus as a game-changing device that redefines the capabilities of performance and mobile photography.
