Telecom Giants T-Mobile and AT&T Face Legal Battle Over Health Concerns in Minnesota

Minnesota resident Marcia Haller recently filed a lawsuit against American Tower, AT&T, and T-Mobile, claiming they are responsible for her health issues. Here’s a breakdown of the situation:

– Haller and her husband moved to a rural area north of Duluth in 2008.
– A guyed tower was erected 1,300 feet from their house.
– The tower was later acquired by SpectraSite, which merged with American Tower Corp.
– American Tower leases space to T-Mobile and AT&T.

Haller started experiencing severe health problems after the tower was upgraded to 5G in October 2019. She believes that exposure to radiofrequency (RF) radiation from the tower caused her to suffer from multiple strokes, as well as vision and hearing loss, and cognitive impairment.

Despite claims from Wireless Estimator that it’s uncommon for one contractor to upgrade both AT&T and T-Mobile simultaneously, Haller remains convinced of the negative effects of radiation. She even noticed an improvement in her health when she moved away from the area temporarily.

In an attempt to protect herself from RF radiation, Haller and her husband built a Faraday cage room in their garage. Now, she is requesting that American Tower, AT&T, and T-Mobile make changes to the RF signals by reorienting antennas or implementing newer antennas with beamforming technology.

While it may be challenging to prevent RF signal leakage beyond the targeted area, Haller hopes that modifications can be made. However, AT&T and T-Mobile might file a motion to dismiss the lawsuit based on the safety of RF transmissions.

If the court rules in favor of Haller, it could lead to reduced or eliminated transmissions from the carriers, potentially impacting her neighbors as well. It’s worth noting that similar complaints about 5G towers causing health issues have been raised before but were deemed baseless by authorities like the World Health Organization.
