Unlock up to $349 in compensation for iPhone audio troubles with Phones Canada

Apple recently settled a case for $35 million regarding audio issues with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and the deadline to claim your payment is approaching fast. Owners of these devices reported experiencing poor sound quality, which affected their ability to make calls and use features like Siri. The problem was linked to the audio IC chip inside the phones, leading to complaints that Apple violated consumer protection laws and breached warranties.

Although Apple denied any wrongdoing, they agreed to settle to avoid the costs and uncertainties of a trial while offering benefits to affected users. If you owned an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus between September 16, 2016, and January 3, 2023, and reported the audio issue to Apple, you may be eligible for a payment. Here are the details:

– If you paid for repairs or replacements related to the audio problem out of pocket, you could receive between $50 and $349.
– If you reported the issue but did not spend money on repairs, you may be entitled to up to $125.
– If you did not experience any audio problems with your device, unfortunately, you are not eligible for compensation.

If Apple notified you about being eligible for payment, make sure to claim it by June 3. For more information on how to do so, visit the lawsuit’s website.

The attorneys representing consumers in this case have requested $8.75 million in fees and costs for their efforts. The fees are expected to come from the settlement fund. The final approval hearing for this case is scheduled for July 18 in California.

Stay informed about this settlement if you own an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus within the specified timeframe. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to claim your rightful payment before it’s too late!
