Unlocking Tesla Superchargers for Ford EVs in Canada: Exciting News for Telecommunications Enthusiasts on iPhone in Canada Blog

We are excited to announce that Ford’s F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E electric vehicle customers in the U.S. and Canada now have access to Tesla’s extensive network of Superchargers. This partnership between Ford and Tesla marks a significant milestone in the electric vehicle industry, providing Ford EV owners with more fast charging options than ever before.

Here are some key highlights of this collaboration:

– Ford EV owners now have access to over 15,000 Superchargers, doubling the available fast charging infrastructure on the BlueOval Charge Network.
– Ford is offering a Fast Charging Adapter at no cost to new and existing customers enrolled in the BlueOval Charge Network until June 30, 2024.
– The adapter is required for Tesla’s upgraded V3 and V4 Superchargers. Retail customers must reserve their free adapter by the specified date, while future Ford EV owners can purchase the adapter for $230 US plus tax and shipping.
– Ford Pro commercial customers will receive instructions this spring on how to order their adapter. The integration with Tesla Superchargers will be seamless, thanks to the FordPass App or the Public Charge app in the vehicle’s touchscreen, supporting Plug & Charge functionality for an effortless charging experience.
– Ford’s next-generation EVs will come equipped with Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) as standard, eliminating the need for adapters in the future.

Ford President and CEO Jim Farley expressed his gratitude towards Elon Musk and the Tesla team for their collaboration and leadership in improving access to charging for EV customers. This partnership underscores Ford’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the automotive industry.

In May 2023, Ford became the first automaker to announce an agreement to adopt Tesla’s NACS. Since then, all major automakers have joined NACS, signaling a shift towards standardized charging solutions across different electric vehicle brands.

We are thrilled about this exciting development that will benefit our customers and contribute to a more seamless charging experience for all electric vehicle owners. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to revolutionize the future of transportation together.
