Discover the Latest Apple HomePod Speaker with Integrated Display in TVOS 17.4 Beta 3

Apple is rumored to be working on a new device that combines the features of an iPad with those of a HomePod smart speaker. According to 9to5Mac, references to an unreleased Apple device with a screen have been spotted in the recently released third tvOS 17.4 developer beta. This has sparked speculation about the possibility of Apple launching a HomePod equipped with a 7-inch display.

Inside Apple, reports suggest that the company has been experimenting with running tvOS on a modified iPad mini to test how a HomePod with an integrated display would function. The code in tvOS 17.4 beta 3 indicates the existence of a new device with the code number “Z314” designed to run tvOS. Both Apple TV and HomePod operate on tvOS, although the version used by the smart speaker does not include a user interface.

The rumored HomePod with a built-in display is said to be powered by an A15 Bionic application processor (AP), which is also found in the iPad mini 6. Additionally, the code reveals that Apple has already produced a version of this device. Furthermore, Apple has added a system tool to the HomePod version of tvOS that addresses unresponsive user interfaces, indicating that this feature may be related to the presence of a built-in screen on the HomePod.

In summary, it seems that there is strong evidence suggesting that Apple is exploring the possibility of creating a HomePod smart speaker with an integrated display. This development could potentially offer users an innovative and interactive audiovisual experience within their homes.

Stay tuned for more updates as this exciting project continues to unfold!
