Nintendo is gearing up for its first official Direct showcase of the year, and it’s called the ‘Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase.’ This special event is set to take place on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, and will last approximately 25 minutes. The focus will be on “Nintendo Switch games coming in the first half of 2024 from our publishing and development partners.”
While specific details about the showcase are still under wraps, we can expect a lineup of exciting third-party games for the Nintendo Switch. Don’t hold your breath for any major first-party announcements or news about the highly anticipated ‘Switch 2,’ as it’s been rumored that the hardware release has been delayed until 2025.
That being said, there’s still plenty of room for speculation. Some third-party games that have been announced but not yet released include titles like Cat Quest 3, Contra: Operation Galuga, Heavenly Bodies, Kingdom Come: Deliverance – Royal Edition, and Penny’s Big Breakaway. There’s also buzz around the potential debut of Hi-Fi Rush from Tango Gameworks following Xbox’s recent business update.
As one of the last major publishers to host its own digital showcase this year, all eyes are on Nintendo. With Xbox recently unveiling Indiana Jones and the Great Circle at its Developer_Direct in January and PlayStation showcasing upcoming games like Death Stranding 2 On the Beach in its State of Play earlier this month, expectations are high for what Nintendo has in store.
