Latest Update: Apple Rolls Out iOS 17.5 Beta 1 for iPhone Models – Check Out the New Features!

Are you the type of smartphone user who always wants to have the latest version of iOS or Android on your device? If so, and you own an iPhone, you’ll be excited to know that the public version of iOS 17.5 beta 1 has just been released by Apple. While there aren’t many changes in this update, it is expected that iOS 17.5 will now allow the Find My app to recognize tracking devices that are not certified by Apple.

Once Apple rolls out the final version of iOS 17.5, Google will be able to launch its Find My Device feature. In fact, some Android users have already spotted Find My Device on their devices with the rollout of Google Play Services beta 24.12.14. A string found in Apple’s Find My app in iOS 17.5 beta 1 indicates that non-Apple tracking devices will be flagged as uncertified, allowing users to disable them if needed.

For those being tracked by a non-Apple item tracker and have iOS 17.5 installed (once the final version is available), they will receive a notification warning and can disable the tracker via their iPhone. Additionally, a new feature exclusive to users in one of the 27 EU member countries has been discovered in iOS 17.5 beta 1.

Thanks to the Digital Markets Act (DMA), iPhone users in the EU can now install apps directly from developers’ websites with iOS 17.5 beta 1. If you’re not in the EU, you’ll still need to download apps from the App Store as usual.

To get your hands on iOS 17.5 beta 1 for your iPhone, simply go to Settings > General > Software Update and follow the prompts for installation. If you don’t see the update on your device, you may need to sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program using your Apple ID and password first.

Before installing any beta software like iOS 17.5 beta 1, make sure to back up your device as these versions may not be as stable as official releases and could impact daily features or battery life. If you’re concerned about potential issues, it might be best to wait for the final release of iOS 17.5 by Apple expected around May before WWDC2024 kicks off on June 10th.

Speaking of WWDC2024, we can anticipate Apple unveiling iOS18 with new AI features and potentially an enhanced Siri experience at this year’s developer conference event. There could also be an introduction of an AI App Store offering AI-related apps for iPhone users – exciting developments ahead!
