If you own an iPad (7th Generation), iPad (6th Generation), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd Generation), or iPad Pro 10.5-inch and are experiencing issues scanning QR codes, fret not! The solution lies in installing the latest iPadOS update, version 17.4.1. Here’s how you can get it done:

– Navigate to your device’s Settings
– Select General
– Click on Software Update
– Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update

Recently, Apple rolled out iOS 17.4.1 and iPadOS 17.4.1 specifically for devices like the iPhone XS and later, certain iPad Pro models, iPad Air, iPad mini, and more to address this QR code scanning glitch.

For those with older iPhone and iPad models such as the iPhone 8, iPhone X, and earlier iPads, iOS 16.7.7 and iPadOS 16.7.7 updates were also released without detailed information on the specific fixes provided.

In case you encounter difficulty using your tablet’s camera app or other third-party apps to scan QR codes after updating, Apple recommends utilizing the Code Scanner feature in your device’s Control Center:

– Access Settings
– Tap Control Center
– Add Code Scanner by selecting the Green “+” button
– Swipe down from the right corner to open Control Center
– Click on Code Scanner and position your device to scan the QR code efficiently

Following the release of iOS 17.4 in early March, some iPads lost their ability to scan QR codes due to a software glitch that has now been rectified with the latest update.

Looking ahead, Apple is gearing up for beta releases of iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 shortly to bring additional enhancements and features to your beloved iPhones and iPads. Stay tuned for more updates!
