What display and storage specifications does the Google Pixel 8 box contain?

The Google Pixel 8 event is just around the corner, and recently, the retail box for the smaller member of the 2023 Pixel series has been leaked. It appears that customers who pre-order the Pixel 8 after the October 8 event will receive it in this box, along with a new Pixel Buds Pro as a gift.

The leaked Google Pixel 8 box was shared by a well-known disassembler named PBK, who often provides teardowns of the latest phones and gadgets to demonstrate how they are constructed. The design of the Pixel 8 shown on the box matches the teaser images released by Google for both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The box showcases a familiar camera strip on the back of the phone, which houses two cameras for main and ultrawide photography. Furthermore, the Pixel 8 in the box is presented in Google’s Hazel color.

Moving on to the display, connectivity, and storage specifications, the leaked Pixel 8 box is for the Canadian model, as indicated on the box with information in both French and English. The model number, G9BQD, suggests that it is assembled in Vietnam. However, it’s worth noting that the accessories inside the Google Pixel 8 box, such as the charging cable and Quick Switch Adapter, come from China.

As for the Pixel 8’s display, it is listed as having a 6.2-inch diagonal, which is the same size as its predecessor. In terms of storage, the Pixel 8 starts at 128GB. Unlike the Verizon version of the Pixel 8, which supports Verizon’s Ultra Wideband coverage and requires compatibility with a 5G mmWave network, this variant of the Pixel 8 only offers sub-6GHz connectivity.

For those who are curious about the upcoming Pixel 8’s features, it is expected to come with a new Tensor G3 chipset and a 120Hz display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The main camera is rumored to have a 50MP resolution, while the ultrawide shooter is said to have a 12MP resolution. Additionally, the Pixel 8 is expected to house a generous 4,575mAh battery.

However, it’s worth mentioning that due to the upgraded specs, the Pixel 8’s price may be slightly higher than its predecessors. We will have to wait and see how the market reacts to Google’s base 2023 Pixel.

That’s all the information we have for now regarding the Google Pixel 8. Stay tuned for the upcoming event and further updates from Phones Canada!
